Some of the most popular are listed below, and if they have been detected on your computer, we have posted the version. There are a number of browser add-ons that you can install in your browser that will increase functionality and open up new features. Some of the popular ones are for Web Developers and can be found for most browsers. Firefox seems to have the most of them.

Colorzilla
Colorzilla adds a colorpicker eyedropper to your browser in the lower left corner as shown. This is useful if you are a web developer or simply if you need to know exactly what any color is on a webpage. You can see in the illustration below, that when the colorpicker eyedropper is clicked on, the cursor changes into crosshairs... the colors in RGB and HTML notation appear and you can then copy them to your clipboard easily.
SEO Quake
SEO Quake gives you all the information you need about any webpage including pagerank, Alexa Rank, domain information and more. This is an essential tool for anyone involved in web marketing, web design or SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Proxy Switch
This is useful for anonymous browsing. Some people use it to post on sites which log your location, such as topix. You can easily set it up using anonymous or any type of proxy and set it to select them by country as shown in the screenshot below. Then when you post on any forum, you show up as from whichever country, state or city you so choose.
Fireshot
A tool for making screenshots. You can choose to make a screenshot of the entire webpage including parts that are scrolled off-screen. Fireshot was originally a Firefox add-on, but it is now also available for Internet Explorer too.
Firebug
A website analysis and debugging tool that is a must for any web developer. Too many features to list - you cannot develop websites without using a tool such as Firebug.

FireFTP
A free FTP client that is an add-on for Firefox. It has a simple to use interface and is a full-featured FTP client.

Beatnik
Beatnik delivers high-quality interactive sound from websites. It is provided by Headspace, Inc. and is available for Netscape Navigator and Communicator on both Macintosh PowerPC and Windows 95/NT. The Headspace website offers detailed information on Beatnik. The official Beatnik website also has links to many sites that use the technology where you can see and hear it in action.
QuickTime
QuickTime, by Apple, Inc., delivers high quality multimedia such as movies, audio, MIDI soundtracks, 3D animation, and virtual reality. It is available for the Macintosh and Windows 3.x/95/NT operating systems. QuickTime package has a plug-in and helper applications. The QuickTime Plug-in allows QuickTime and QuickTime VR content to be viewed directly within your browser. The MoviePlayer and PictureViewer, helper applications, allow all QuickTime multimedia to be played (file creation and editing can be completed with QuickTime Pro).
RealPlayer
RealPlayer was one of the first streaming-media players and is a live and on-demand RealAudio and RealVideo player which functions without download delays. It is provided by RealNetworks, Inc. and is available for Macintosh, Unix, and Windows 3.1/95/NT as both a plug-in and helper application. Shockwave / Flash
The Shockwave plug-in, provided by Macromedia, Inc., allows multimedia files created using Macromedia's Director, Authorware, and Flash to be viewed directly in your web browser. The plug-in is compatible with Netscape Navigator 2.0 or later and Internet Explorer 3.0 or later on Macintosh and Windows 3.1/95/NT platforms. VivoActive Player delivers on-demand video and audio from any website offering VivoActive content.
